Assam: Govt Forms Two Committees for Board Exams Result Preparation

The Secondary Education Department under the order of Assam Government has issued a notification regarding the formation of two different committees separately for the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council and Board of Secondary Education Assam on June 19.

The two committees has been formed to suggest the procedure to be adopted to prepare the results of HSLC/AHM (Class -X Final) and Higher Secondary Final Examination ( Class- 12) for the Academic year 2020-21.

The two committees formed are –

  1.  Committee for HSLCIAHM ( Class X Final) Examination
  2. Committee for Higher Secondary Final Examination

The two committees formed constituted of nine members each who will be working on the procedures that are to be adopted to prepare the results of HSLC and HSSLC in the state.

The notification also mentioned some terms and conditions for the committees in concern the issue which states that,

  • The respective Committees will have to submit the procedure to be adopted by each school to evaluate each student, subject wise for the marks assigned against theory portion of each subject.
  • The procedures must be based on available records in the school against each student.
  • The respective Committees may study the procedure adopted by CBSE and other Examination Boards to arrive at a decision.
  • The respective Committee must give their report within 07 days from the date of constitution of the Committee.

The notification further stated that the Board of Secondary Education, Assam and Assam Higher Secondary Education Council have to provide all technical and official support to the respective Committee in order to

arrive at a decision.

On receipt of their report, after proper examination Education Government of Assam will issue necessary instruction to all concerned offices and schools to do the needful. AHSEC and SEBA will prepare the final result after incorporating the marks of Internal Assessment, practical Examination and marks against theory portion as received from the respective schools within 30th July 2021, the notification added.

Earlier on Friday, the Assam Government cancelled the Board Examinations for Class 10 and 12. It stated that the examination results will be based on internal assessment and the results will be declared within July 31.
