Swachh Bharat Abhiyan programme has been carried out in different parts of Assam ahead of Independence Day with a three-day programme as per the instruction of the state government. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was carried out in Karimganj, Nagaon, Kokrajhar and Kamrup.
But interestingly,in Karimganj district, people have to use JCB instead of broom to clean thetown. The deputy commissioner along with other officials has started the swachhbharat abhiyan ahead of the Independence Day which will be a three-dayprogramme.
It was only today,that the DC has witnessed a huge garbage dump in the station road of Karimganjand he immediately called Karimganj cleanliness inspector of the municipalityand take stock of the situation as to why the city is full of garbages here andthere.
Meanwhile, theKokrajhar district administration also carried out Swachh Bharat Abhiyanprgramme at different places of Kokrajhar town led by Deputy Commissioner ParthaPratim Majumder.
Hundreds ofcollege students and government officials have participated in the programmeafter which a plantation drive has also been carried out at Kokrajhar Govt.Higher Secondary playground area.
On the otherhand, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan programme has also been carried out in Nagaon and Sualkuchiin Kamrup district as a part of the Independence Day celebration which is athree-day programme as stated by the state government starting with swachhBharat abhiyan, plantation drive and run for unity programme.
