Assam: Bomb Recovered In Cachar

A panic situation erupted in Assam's Cachar district after a bomb was recovered near National Highway 39 late Tuesday.

The bomb was reportedly spotted by the locals who then informed the police.

Upon receiving the information, police reached the spot along with a bomb squad who then diffused the bomb that was wrapped in a plastic bag.

The origin of the bomb is yet to be ascertained. An investigation in the matter is on.
