The Assam bandh called by All Assam Chutia Students' Union (AACSU) and All Koch Rajbongshi Students' Union (AKRSU) have not hit normal life in Guwahati along with other parts of the state.

The bandh supporters have blocked the roads in the city by burning tyres and also destroyed vehicles in Khanapara and Fancy Bazaar. But it did not affect the overall life.

Roads have also been blocked at Maligaon by bandh supporters by burning tyres. But it was cleared soon as all the school and offices were closed.

Onthe other hand, life has brought to a standstill at Golaghat, Dhemaji,Duliajan, Digboi and other parts of the state.

The AACSU has called for a 12-hour bandh on December 9 while the AKRSU and All Moran Students' Union have called for 48-hour bandh starting from 5 am on Monday demanding to scrap the contentious Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB).

Bandhsupporters have blocked the road by burning tyres in different parts of thestate which affected the normal life in the bandh hit areas.
