Depicting a serene and clean village setting, Arunachal Pradesh Government's tableau themed 'Peace Within', has been selected for the upcoming 70th Republic Day parade in New Delhi.
With statue of Mahatma Gandhi in front on the tableau, the theme has been conceived in the context of the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and as advised by experts of the Union Defence Ministry.
The theme for all selected States and ministries has been 'Gandhi Connect' under which all competing States and ministries designed their respective themes.
Only 14 States and six Union ministries have been selected in the final selection meeting on December 26 in New Delhi following a series of meetings and presentations by all 29 States, seven Union Territories and various Union ministries.
