A botanist from Arunachal Pradesh, Krishna Chowlu, has dedicated a new species of flower that he discovered in 2017 to former Chief Minister of  the state Dorjee Khandu.

Krishna Chowlu, who is a scientist with the Botanical Survey of India (BSI), had discovered the wild flower at a forest in Zemithang area of Tawang in September, 2017.
