Anybody can join BJP: Ranjeet Dass

AssamBJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass on Friday said that anybody can join BJPdespite his or her prior political ideologies. His remarks came after Congressleaders Bhubaneswar Kalita, Santiuse Kujur and Gautam Roy joined the partyrecently.

"Wedo not have any objection against Kujur," said Dass, adding, "However, Royshould reform himself and serve the nation." Dass also said that the Congressleaders have joined the saffron party as workers rather than leaders. He madethe remarks, while taking part at a programme of the first death anniversary offormer PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Barpeta.

Dassfurther said that as many as 11 lakh people in the State have joined BJP till August15. He added, "We have aimed to include 65 lakh people with BJP in the comingthree years."
