AGP suspends another two executive members

After senior party worker Pranab Goswami, the AGP leaders have suspended another two executive members of the party- Niren Sharma and Haresh Bhuyan on Sunday for allegedly protesting against the leaders for the alliance between AGP and BJP.

According to reports, both the executive members were suspended after they organised protest against senior party leaders including president Atul Bora and working president Keshab Mahanta on Saturday. They also burnt the portraits of Atul Bora, Keshab Mahanta and Phanibhusan Choudhury in front of party's Jorhat office.

AGP General Secretary Kamala Kalita on Sunday sent letters to Niren Sharma and Haresh Bhuyan to inform that they have been suspended from the posts of Executive Members of the party on disciplinary ground. They were also informed through the letters that their primary memberships were also suspended for a year.

Notably, the AGP leaderships have already suspended one of its executive member Pranab Goswami on Thursday for allegedly talking against the recent alliance between AGP and BJP. Also on Saturday several party workers in Jorhat, Nagaon, Tezpur, Dhakuakhana have staged protest against the leaders of the regional party and shouted slogans against their decision to contest the coming LS polls along with BJP.
