The All Assam Students' Union (AASU) organised a massive protest rally on Monday against the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 at Bokajan.
Numerous other organisation such as Karbi Student's Union, Karbi Youth Council, women organisations and students of the region extended their support and participated in the rally.
Protesters warned the government, saying that they will continue their protest more rigorously and Assam shall never become a dumping ground for Bangladeshis.
It may be mentioned here that AASU has been organising mass protests across the state, demanding to boycott the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016.
