The state of Assam on Saturday reported 3,463 new cases of coronavirus with a positivity rate of 2.14 per cent.
The total active cases in the state stands at 43,298.
Further, 42 deaths were recorded today, while, 5,600 cases were discharged.
The districts with the highest cases are: Sonitpur (267), Cachar (264), Kamrup Metro (246) and Tinsukia (212).
The new cases were detected out of the 1,61,896 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
The overall tally of the state is 4,57,330.
The total recoveries in the state has touched 4,08,770 with a recovery rate of 89.38 per cent, while the death tally has climbed to 3,915.
The district-wise deaths registered today are: Jorhat (7), Dibrugarh (5), Sivasagar (4), Sonipur (4), Golaghat (3), Kamrup Metro (3), Hailakandi (2), Morigaon (2), Nagaon (2), Baksa (1), Biswanath (1), Cachar (1), Charaideo (1), Hojai (1), Kamrup Rural (1), Karbi Anglong (1), Nalbari (1), Tinsukia (1), Udalguri (1).
