25 people have tested positive for COVID-19 at Nityananda in Bajali, Pathsala. The incident has triggered a certain degree of turmoil in the area.
Most of the infected people are learnt to have travelled from Guwahati.
Meanwhile, in light of the surge in the number of positive cases in Guwahati, 10 Assam districts have made the entry from Guwahati into their respective boundaries very tough. People traveling from Guwahati into those districts will now have to be under compulsory home quarantine for 14 days.
The COVID-19 situation has turned quite gloomy in Assam, more so in Guwahati. Recently, Assam Health Minister had announced that Guwahati has entered the pandemic stage. Just to give better clarity on the current situation, 423 positive cases were detected in Guwahati yesterday, 588 the day earlier, and 598 the day previous to that.
