He further stated that the Assam Police has also launched a help desk through which we keep on taking information of those who are infected with the virus and their family as well.

Moreover, a COVID Care Center has been set up especially for the Assam Police so that the infected personnel could stay together.

He further stated that despite of providing service during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Assam Police are also keeping a close eye on the criminal activities that took place in the city. "During this hour of crisis, the Assam Police also recovered huge numbers of arms and ammunitions, drugs etc. We have left no stone unturned to prevent any untoward incident from happening in the city," the DGP added.

Reacting on the peasant leader Akhil Gogoi's health, the DGP said, "The wife of Akhil Gogoi has shared information regarding his deteriorating health in the jail and that he was infected with the virus.
