16national organisations have called for a 12 hour bandh in the hilly districtsof Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao demanding an autonomousstate including these two districts.
However, the Central Government has expressed that it does not have any such issue in its to-do list. It was made clear by the Minister of State for Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy, in reply to a question raised by Diphu MP Harensing Bey at the Lok Sabha.
These 16 national organisations have reportedly called this bandh against the government's deceit towards their long standing demands.
