The Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) has been renamed as Ministry of Education. The Cabinet has approved the change in the name of the ministry.
The HRD Ministry is currently headed by Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.
A formal announcement on the name being changed from HRD Ministry to the Ministry of Education will be made later in the day.
