The Assam Government led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has completed 100 days on Friday. The chief minister in its completion of 100 days of the government said that the government's decision so far has attracted the public.

CM Sarma also addresses a press conference on completion of 100 days and also discussed the work done so far. The key highlights of the press conference are:

  • 1 crore 21 lakh 59162 vaccines have been given from May 10 to August 19
  • The state government has been able to provide vaccine doses to at least 1.5 lakh people per day
  • The positivity rate has come down below 1 percent in the last three months
  • The state government has successfully controlled the second wave of COVID-19
  • The process to appoint 1 lakh unemployed started today
  • The state government will sign a MoU with the companies to relax the micro-finance loan
  • It is our success to bring NLFB into mainstream, says Himanta Biswa Sarma
  • APDCL collected revenue of Rs.600 crores every month
  • Our government has started construction of three new parks in Guwahati, CM Sarma said
  • The BJP government has brought peace in BTC
  • The agricultural sector has been improved
  • Assam has become rich financially in the country
  • The Cabinet has taken more than 400 decisions in these 100 days
  • From now onwards, one cabinet meeting will be held in one district every month. A cabinet meeting will be held in Dhemaji in September
  • CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that from next month, 1000 rupees would be given to the beneficiary of Orunodoi from 830 rupees at present.
  • History and Geography will be made compulsory for every student
  • Guwahati will have complete electric bus
  • ASTC will not ride any buses that will run on petrol and diesel. The Assam government will bought 200 electric buses and 100 CNG buses
  • CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced to provide one time compensation to bus drivers, priests and artists who were affected due to COVID 19
  • The National Education Policy will come into effect from next year
  • Every High School will be upgraded to higher secondary school
  • Every junior colleges will have Class IX and X and Classes IX, X, XI and XII will be under National Education Policy
  • SEBA and AHSEC will be merged by the state government
  • The inter-district movement of public transport will be relaxed from September 1
  • The state government will set up sports complex in 10 districts
  • Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also handed over appointment letters to the family member of 6 martyred police persons who lost their lives in Assam Mizoram border.
