Prisoner Escapes From Guwahati Central Jail

A prisoner who was lodged in Guwahati Central Jail has reportedly escaped during the wee hours of Thursday.

The prisoner, identified as one Noor Mohammad, was lodged in the jail on theft charges on October 20.

It may be mentioned that Mohammad had tried to escape from police custody several times before but was unsuccessful.

A case under IPC 457/380 was filed against Mohammad at Hatigaon police station.
