A significant anti-drug operation unfolded in Guwahati's Basistha New Market on Monday night, resulting in the confiscation of 16 containers filled with drugs and the apprehension of two drug peddlers.
The peddlers identified as Shamshad Alam and Jala Yadav was found in possession of the narcotics. Additionally, Rs 6,000 in cash was seized from the suspects.
Basistha police are presently engaged in the interrogation process as part of their ongoing crackdown on drug-related activities.
