Eminent Artist, Writer Bhabaniprashad Sowkadhara No More

Prominent artist, writer and novelist Bhabaniprashad Sowkadhara passed away aged 76 years on Sunday in Guwahati.

According to reports, he passed away at a private nursing home here earlier today.

The eminent personality was born on January 28, 1946 at Namti in Assam’s Sivasagar.

He was reportedly suffering from kidney-related ailments for a long time.

It may be noted that the popular artist and writer was the founding president of the Khanapara branch of the Asom Sahitya Sabha.

He is survived by his wife, only son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
