We fear of going to jungles, dense forests and even to habitats sometimes as we are scared of animals but there is one person who spent his life in jungles with the animals, eating leaves and insects rather than food when in jungle. Yes, we all know him, the courageous man in the world, he is Bear Grylls.

Born inJune 7, 1974, Edward Michael Grylls who is better known as Bear Grylls is aBritish former SAS serviceman, survival instructor and honorary lieutenant-coloneland besides his military career, he is an adventurer, writer, televisionpresenter and businessman and he is popularly known for his television seriesMan vs Wild.

Grylls isalso involved in a number of wilderness survival television series in the UKand US and he was appointed the youngest-ever Chief Scout of the United Kingdomand Overseas Territories at the age of 35 in July 2009.

Grylls,who always entertain viewers with his episodes also joined by many celebrity guestsin the series. Man vs Wild, which was produced by British television productioncompany Diverse Bristol and was first broadcasted on November 10, 2006 afterairing a pilot episode titled 'The Rockies' on March 2006.

Since March2006, the series has become widely popular with Bear Grylls as its host. In aspecial episode which was first aired on June 2009, Will Ferrell joined Gryllson a survival trip to Northern Sweden.

In eachepisode of Man vs Wild, Bear Grylls brings a different celebrity along hisadventures and the crew consists of the host himself, a story producer, twocamera cinematographers, two field recordists and a mountain guide.

Celebritiessuch as Zac Efron, Channing Tatum and Ben Stiller made special appearances onthe first season of the show while in Season 2, celebrities like Kate Winslet,Michael B Jordan, Kate Hudson, Michelle Rodriguez, James Marsden and the thensitting President of USA Barack Obama appeared in the show.

Other thanthese celebrities, this year Prime Minister Narendra Modi will appear in anepisode which will be aired on August 12 and the shooting of which has alreadybeen completed.

Prime Minister Modi will hike through Jungles, Raft down the rivers in a never before avatar.

Shot inthe Wilderness in the Uttarakhand, the "Man vs Wild" will featurePrime Minister Modi and he will be the first such World leader to take part ina show like that.

Controversieshave also erupted after Modi was seen in Man vs Wild. The opposition after itsaw Modi's clip of adventure trip in the forests of Uttarakhand said that Modiwas busy shooting for the episode of the series on the day when 40 CRPF jawanswere killed in the Pulwama Terror attack on February 14.  

In October,2018, Grylls announced that they will begin filming for a fifth season and inFebruary 2019, it was announced that the show will be moved to NationalGeographic for its fifth season which will be premiered in December 2019 but onMay 14, 2019, it was announced that the fifth season will be premiered onNovember 5, 2019.
