BBC One's criminal underworld series McMafia, featuring Bollywood star Nawazuddin Siddiqui, has won the best drama series at the International Emmys.
Four Indian shows werenominated in five different categories; that included Lust Stories (best TVmovie/mini-series and best actress for Radhika Apte), Sacred Games (best dramaseries), The Remix (best non-scripted entertainment) and Witness: India'sForbidden Love (best documentary).
Meanwhile, Siddiqui afterwinning the award said, "It's a pure delight to be receiving the beautifulwinner trophy at the International Emmy Awards Gala in New York with one of myfavourite Director James Watkins for our work."
