Actor Nana Patekar's lawyer Rajendra Shirodhkar has said on Monday that the actor has sent a legal notice to actor Tanushree Dutta for accusing him of sexual harassment.
"A legal notice has already been sent to her and she will receive it today. The notice that I have sent is a standard one — denying allegations and asking for an apology," said Shirodkar,
After Tanushree Dutta recently opened up about Nana Patekar's misconduct with her on the sets of the 2008 film, 'Horn 'Ok' Pleassss', eyewitness of the incident bollywood actress Daisy Shah totally stands by Tanushree. She said – "I totally stand by Tanushree Dutta".
Recently, in a media statement Tanushree said that Nana Patekar tried to "cover up" the attack with a "lie."
She also alleged that Nana's political goons have attacked Tanushree for intimidating her,
Meanwhile, celebs like Priyanka Chopra, Twinkle Khanna, Swara Bhaskar, Parineeti Chopra and Farhan Akhtar have lent support to the actress.
On the other hand, bollywood superstars like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan refused to take a stand. And finally Tanushree Dutta reacts to Aamir and Salman's 'silence' over the controversy.
"The thing is the stars and the superstars of our country are just a reflection of our society. They are not aliens from outer space. They have come from our society and have risen to position of firmness because of their ability. The problem is that in our country people often take the onscreen persona as their off screen personality as well and get disappointed but they are actors, they act" – she said in the exclusive interview by Pinkvilla.
In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Tanushree said that Justice in our country is always social justice. It is the same sense of shame and discomfort which never always our society to take a stand and that's why people like Nana Patekar have been able to function.
