Gully Boy earns more than 18 crore on Day 1

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy has successfully managed to collect around Rs 18.70 crore on its opening day on February 14. Released on the Valentine's Day, the Zoya Akhtar's directorial venture also received positive reviews from the critics as well as from the audience.

Sharing the film's opening day collections, film critic and biz analyst, Taran Adarsh posted an update on instagram, "#GullyBoy takes a massive start… #ValentineDay – not an official holiday – has given a big boost… Metros are rocking, contribute to superb total… Thu ₹ 18.70 cr [3350 screens]. India biz."

Besides Ranveer and Alia, Gully Boy also features Kalki Koechlin, Vijay Raaz and Siddhant Chaturvedi in supporting roles. Earlier, the film premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival on 9 February 2019.
