There is no need to look towards the East, but it is the time to work for the East. It is our responsibility to work for the North East, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an exclusive interview with the Asomiya Pratidin newspaper.
On behalf of the Asomiya Pratidin Partha Deb Goswami and Smitaskshi B Goswami took the interview where a wide range of subjects was discussed. The Prime Minister was emphatical that his government was committed to protecting the culture and ethnicity of North East India.
The Asmoitya Pratidin discussed with him the Infiltration issue, NRC, CAB, and International Security. " I firmly believe that no planning can be successful by sitting in the air-conditioned chamber. it has to be done in consultation with the people of the region and people of the grounds, and that is why in the last five years I have traveled 30 times to North East India.
