DCGI Approves Bharat Biotech’s Vaccine For Emergency Use In Children Aged 12-18

Bharat Biotech, the manufacturer of Covid-19 vaccine 'Covaxin', on Saturday got approval from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) for its vaccine for children.

Bharat Biotech received approval from DCGI for emergency use of its vaccine for children aged between 12-18 years, reported ANI citing official sources.

Notably, Zydus Cadila's ZyCoV-D vaccine had earlier received approval for emergency use in children above 12 years.

Meanwhile, the Serum Institute of India's vaccine Covovax, which is being prepared for ages 2 to 18, is also reportedly conducting trials.
