Assam MP Gaurav Gogoi on Wednesday said that the Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has cheated on the people of the constituencies as well as the Election Commission by his lies at the by-poll campaigns in Bhawanipur, Thowra and Mariani.
MP Gaurav Gogoi made this statement while addressing the media in a press meet on Wednesday briefing on Election Commission's letter to the Chief Minister of Assam at Rajiv Bhawan in Guwahati.
Gogoi said that the EC is not satisfied with the written apology of the Chief Minister.
"CM Sarma openly lied in two constituencies. He has cheated on the Election Commission as well as the people of the constituencies for which he owes an apology to the people," said MP Gaurav Gogoi.
Additionally, Gogoi also said MLAs are being sold in the state like cows are sold in market by CM Sarma.
Further, he said that the people will be replying to the lies of CM Sarma and all the mistakes of the government in the by-elections this time.
