During the winter session, Tata Motorscurrently has one of the youngest car model line-ups in the Indian market.After the launch of the all-new Harrier in January this year, the manufacturerhas launched the mildly updated Nexon and even the Tiago and Tigor. Tata Motorsis currently working on launching new vehicles and we will soon see a slew ofnew cars and SUVs from the brand. Most of these cars will be showcased at the2020 Auto Expo.
Tata Harrier 170 PS
Tata Harrier has become a popular product inthe market and currently, the brand is working to launch a new, BS6 compliantversion of the Harrier. The upcoming Harrier, which gets a re-tuned version ofthe Jeep Compass's engine, has been caught testing alongside the Jeep Compass.Tata will offer the new Harrier BS6 with the updated engine that will produce amaximum of 170 PS, which will be 30 PS gain from the current 140 PS. The torqueoutput of 350 Nm will remain the same.
Tata Nexon facelift
Tata is currently testing the facelifted version of the Nexon in various terrains in India. The car was recently spotted in the Ladakh region with a new, split headlamp set-up. The car's front-end is expected to be updated thoroughly and it will get new, bigger headlamps and a more boxy design. The Nexon facelift will get the same 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol and 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine options in the Indian market.
Tata Nexon EV
Tata is also testing the Nexon EV in the highaltitudes of Ladakh and it will offer a similar design as the faceliftedversion of the Nexon. The car will get IP67 rated waterproof lithium-ionbatteries that are expected to keep the car going for around 300 km on a singlecharge. The Tata Nexon EV will also get connected technology that will allowthe owners to track the percentage of the charge and other things in the NexonEV. It will become the most affordable electric SUV in the Indian market whenlaunched.
Tata Buzzard/H7X
Tata will also launch the seven-seaterversion of the Harrier in the Indian market, which will be based on the Harrierplatform. It will offer a slightly different styling than the Harrier,especially from the side. However, mechanically, both vehicles will remainsimilar. The Tata Buzzard is expected to replace the Tata Hexa from the market.However, the Buzzard may not get the 4WD system that is available with theHexa.
Tata Altroz
Tata Altroz will become the first premium hatchback from the brand in the Indian market. It will be launched against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The Altroz has now been spotted multiple times without the camouflage and it looks quite good in the production form. The hatchback will offer only a diesel-manual set-up initially and later, more options will be added to it.
