Assam on Thursday recorded 1,299 fresh cases of coronavirus pushing the active caseload to 12,767. The positivity rate of the state is 1.01 per cent.
According to the data furnished by the National Health Mission, 20 Covid-19 related deaths have been reported today, while, 1,664 people have recuperated from the deadly contagion.
In the last 24 hours, 1,28,684 Covid-19 tests have been conducted, of which, the districts with the highest cases are: Kamrup Metro (184), Lakhimpur (103), Golaghat (90), and Dibrugarh (70).
The district-wise deaths today have been registered from Jorhat (4), Barpeta, Golaghat, Karbi Anglong, and Moriagaon have each reported two deaths, and a single death has been reported from Chirang, Hailakandi, Hojai, Kamrup Metro, Karimganj, Lakhimpur, Nalbari, and Tinsukia.
The total recoveries of the state have touched 5,44,695 with a recovery rate of 96.57 per cent, while, death tally of the state has surged to 5,221 with a fatality rate of 0.93 per cent.
