Rahul Dravid has outscored Sachin Tendulkar by a narrow margin as the greatest Indian test batsman in a social media poll conducted by Wisden India.

Dravid secured 52% of the total votes in the poll that was participated by 11,400 fans in the final round of voting. The Wisden India Report said, "Much like Dravid batted during his playing career, he dug in and fought back in the poll, eventually crossing the line with a decent lead at the very end."

The poll initially had 16 Indian Test greats, with Sunil Gavaskar and Virat Kohli being the other two, who were able to make it to the semi-finals. Gavaskar outscored Kohli by a narrow margin.
