Mithali Raj tops India’s T20 International runs chart

Mithali Raj, who anchored India's run chase with a fine half-century, continues to top the list of India's highest T20I run getters (including men and women). The 35-year-old went past Rohit when she scored a brillaint 56 off 47 balls against Pakistan in India's second match of the ongoing World T20 tournament.

Mithali, who scored a magnificent 51 off 56 balls, now has 2283 T20I runs under her belt, while Rohit and Kohli have 2207 and 2102 international T20 runs respectively. Mithali has played 80 T20 international innings so far, while Rohit has also played 80 and Virat 58.

The Indian veteran batswoman scored her second straight half-century as India thrashed Ireland by 52 runs in their match at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday. With this victory, the Indian women's cricket team have secured a semi-final berth in the mega event. This is the third time India have reached the semis of the Women World T20.

Mithali, a former Indian captain also has 17 T20I half-centuries to her name.

The current Indian women's cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur is third on the list with 1827 runs to her name. With 1487 runs, former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is sixth, behind Suresh Raina.
