Chief Ministers of Chhattisgarh: 2000 to 2023

Chhattisgarh, which was formed on November 1st, 2000, as a result of the Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000, has witnessed three Chief Ministers since its inception. Ajit Jogi from the INC Party was the first to be sworn in as CM in 2000, followed by the longest-serving CM, Raman Singh from the Bharatiya Janata Party, who held the position for three consecutive five-year terms from 2003 to 2018. Currently, Bhupesh Baghel from the INC Party is serving as the CM since his oath-taking in December 2018. The BJP has been the dominant ruling party, with the INC Party being the runner-up.
