Yediyurappa takes oath as Karnataka CM

Three days after the collapseof HD Kumaraswamy-led Congress-JD(S) government in the State, Karnataka BJPleader Bookanakere Siddalingappa Yediyurappa took oath as 25th Chief Ministerof the State on Friday.

Earlier today, he met theGovernor to stake claim to form the government.

"I will not practice vendettas politics. Forget and forgive will be my policy in this term. Priority is to provide respite from drought in the state," said the CM after taking the oath.

According to reports, he called for special assembly session on Monday and the floor test will be held at 10 AM on the same day.
