Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court,Justice Dinesh Maheshwari and Justice Sanjiv Khanna of the Delhi High Court will be sworn in as judges of the Supreme Court taday. Amid questions over the appointments by the legal fraternity, Justice Maheshwari and Khanna were elevated to the apex Court on Friday.

It is to me mentioned that Justice Sanjiv Khanna is likely to be the Chief Justice of India in 2024.

With Justice Dinesh Maheshwari  and Justice Sanjiv Khanna, the strength of the top court judges has gone up to 28, three short of the sanctioned strength of 31.
