TMC leaders change DPs post violence

Many TMC leaders have changed their Twitter and Facebook profile pictures a day after the statue of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was vandalised during the violence following BJP president Amit Shah's roadshow in Kolkata.

Attaching the picture of the broken bust of vidyasagar, party leader Derek O'Brien tweeted:

Other opposition parties also condemned the BJP for the vandalising the 19th century reformer's statue.

However, BJP has claimed that the Trinamool has conspired to frame the BJP by having the statue broken by their party workers.

Union Minister Babul Supriyo, blaming it on Mamata Banerjee tweeted:
