Six-Time World Champion Mary Kom Exits Tokyo Olympics In Pre-Quarters

Teary-eyed and with a smile on her face, six-time world champion and London Olympics bronze medallist from India's Manipur, MC Mary Kom, on Thursday lost in the pre-quarterfinals of Tokyo Olympics.

Mary Kom lost to 2016 Olympics edition bronze medallist Colombia's Ingrit Valencia 3-2 in a split decision.

The 38-year-old boxing legend had beaten Valencia in the 2019 world championship quarterfinals

Mary Kom dodged several of Valencia's jabs but couldn't land many on the target to outplay her.
