Pulwama attack: All-party meet underway in New Delhi

An all-party meeting today at 11 am convened by the government  to brief all political parties in the country on the inhuman terror attack in Pulwama that killed 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama on Thursday.

The meeting has been convened by Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

After the biggest ever attacks on the security forces by Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), the Cabinet Committee on Security was held on Friday to discuss the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Headed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi the Cabinet Committee on Security  included the defense minister Nirmala Sitaraman, home minister Raj Nath Singh , external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and the finance minister Arun Jaitley. The CCS takes decisions on matters related to security and strategic affairs.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday condemned the terror attack and said that Congress would support the government and the party would not get into any other discussion of the next few days.

The other  opposition parties have also extended their support to the government counter the offensive carried out by the Jaish-e-Mohammed from the Pakistan soil.
