Pulwama: 4 Lashkar-e-Taiba militants killed in encounter

Four Lashkar-e-Taiba militants have been killed in an anti-terror operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district today.

According to the police, three security personnel have also been injured during the operation. These personnel were taken to the hospital and are now out of danger.

Acting on a tip off, security personnel launched an overnight operation in in Lassipora area in search for terrorists. Terrorists started firing once the forces zeroed in the cordon and in this exchange of fire, four terrorists have been eliminated.

Security personnel also recovered four rifles and ammunition from the site.

It may be noted that the operation had been launched a day after a grenade attack on security personnel injuring one in Pulwama town.

The security personnel have increased the anti-terror operations in the Valley following the February 14 terror attack in Pulwama.
