Order on shutdown of airports withdrawn

In the wake of the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, the order to shut down the airports in Jammu, Srinagar, Leh and Amritsar among other places has been withdrawn by the government.

The flight operations are likely to resume soon at the airports. The order was issued on Wednesday after reports of Pakistan jets invading the Indian airspace. The IAF has said that a Pakistani F-16 aircraft had crashed in the Lam Valley area along the LoC.

Notably, has stopped flights from Islamabad and Lahore.
