National Digital Library launched by Union HRD Minister

Union Human Resources Development (HRD) Minister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday launched the National Digital Library of India. Minister of State for HRD Dr Satya Pal Singh and Minister of State for Culture (I/C) Dr Mahesh Sharma were also present at the event.

The Minister said the Library will become a single window platform for all educational needs.

"30 lakh plus registered users. Educational materials are available for users ranging from Primary to post-graduate levels . All for free. #OneLibraryAllOfIndia #NDLIndia #LearnShareGrow #SaafNiyatSahiVikas #48MonthsofTransformingIndia @NDLIndia" Javadekar tweeted.

Over 35 lakh e-books in more than 200 languages are available in the library.

The National Digital Library of India is an integrated platform for schools, colleges, universities, teachers and students. It shares contents that include books, images, videos, lectures, question papers etc.

The Library can be accessed at ndp.iitkgp.ac.in.
