More troops airlifted to Srinagar amid J&K Reorganisation Bill row

Amid the scrapping of Article 370 and declaring Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh as Union territories, almost 8,000 paramilitary troops have been airlifted to J&K.

According to sources, troops are being brought to Srinagar, today, in C-17 transport planes of the Indian Air Force in addition to the already deployed 35,000 troops that were brought over the past week.

As per news agency ANI, the Army and the Air Force have been put on high alert.
