Manipur: HS and Class 11 Exams Cancelled Amid Covid Surge

The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM) has cancelled examination for high school students this year.

The Council has announced the cancellation of the Higher Secondary and Class XI Examinations for this year amid the surge in COVID-19 cases in the state.

A part of the statement undersigned by Secretary of COHSEM, Biren Singh read as, "Government of Manipur in connection with the cancellation of the Higher Secondary Examination, 2021, it is notified that the Higher Secondary and the Class XI Examinations, 2021 stand canceled."

 The Higher Secondary and the Class XI Examinations were scheduled to commence from May 8 this year before the state was hit by Covid-19 second wave.

As per the latest covid update, Manipur has recorded 61,096 total cases, 51,354 total recovered, 8,744 active cases and 998 deaths so far.
