Landline and mobile internet services are partially being restored in Jammu and Kashmir as it is limping its way towards normalcy.

According to news agency PTI report, Officials have informed that landline connections are being restored in parts of Srinagar.

It may be noted that phone lines have been restored almost two weeks after restrictions were imposed in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the government's big move to abrogate Article 370.

Seventeen out of more than 100 telephone exchanges in Kashmir have been made operational. The landline services have been restored in Budgam, Sonamarg, Manigam, Gurez, Tangmarg, Uri Keran Karnah and Tangdhar areas. In Srinagar, landlines are back in the Civil Lines area, Cantonment area and near the airport.

On the other hand, mobile internet connections have been restored in five districts in Jammu region.
