J&K: Encounter in Shopian, three militants dead

An exchange of fire between security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Keller area of Shopian district took in the wee hours today killing three of the ultras.

According to reports, acting on input about presence of the ultras, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint anti-militancy operation in Yarwan forest area of the district.

Officials of security forces have informed that bodies of three terrorists have been recovered from the encounter site even as the operation is underway till last reports came in.
