J&K Encounter: 1 ISJK Terrorist Killed In Anantnag

A terrorist belonging to the banned terror outfit Islamic State of Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK) was killed last night in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag.

The encounter between the terrorists and security forces reportedly broke out in the Srigufwara area of Anantnag district of the state.

The killed terrorist has been identified as Faheem Bhat, a resident of Kadipora area. He was allegedly involved in the killing of ASI Mohd Ashraf of Bijbehara Police Station, Inspector General of Kashmir Police informed.

Meanwhile, the Kashmir Zone Police also appraised of the shootout via Twitter. It wrote, "#AnantnagEncounterUpdate: Neutralised #terrorist identified as Faheem Bhat of Kadipora #Anantnag. He has recently joined #terror outfit ISJK and was involved in killing of Martyr ASI Mohd Ashraf, who was posted at PS Bijbehara: IGP Kashmir @JmuKmrPolice".

Notably, earlier in the day, four terrorists, two of Ansar Gazwat uL Hind (AuGH) and two of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), were killed in separate encounters.
