J&K Bill | 370 ‘Ayes’ & 70 ‘Noes’ in LS

Union HomeMinister Amit Shah on Tuesday withdraws the J&K Reservation (SecondAmendment) Bill after the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill was passed inLok Sabha.

The Bill was passed by Lok Sabha with 370 members voting in its support and 70 against it. The chair had announced re-vote as the number displayed was incorrect. Earlier, the vote division was 351-ayes and 72-noes.

The Bill was passed by the Upper House through a voice vote, with 125 being in favour and 61 against it and there was also one abstention.

Meanwhile, Congress' Jyotiraditya M Scindia, in a tweet, said that he supports the move on Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and its full integration into union of India.
