Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said that the Indian pilot held by the Pakistan army will be released on Friday. Pakistan on Wednesday captured IAF wing commander Abhinandan.

"As a peace gesture we are releasing Wing Commander Abhinandan tomorrow," said Khan in addressing a joint parliamentary session.

Imran Khan also said that he tired calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi last evening to covey that they wanted de-escalation.
