Engineers Day celebrated across India

The Engineering Community across India today celebrated Engineers Day as a remarkable tribute to the greatest Indian Engineer, Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya (popularly known as Sir MV).

Sir MV is held in high regard as a pre-eminent engineer of India. M Visvesvaraya was a world-renowned civil engineer who was a master of irrigation design.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted engineers on the occasion. Through a tweet, PM Modi appreciated their dexterity as well as dedication.

PM Modi said, their (Engineers) role in nation building is extremely vital. He also paid tributes to the noted engineer M Visvesvaraya, on his birth anniversary.
