Congress gives up 7 crucial seats in UP

Congress won't contest on 7 seats in UP and leaves them for BSP-SP-RLD alliance.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and BSP supremo Mayawati in a joint press conference decided that they won't field candidates on Rahul Gandhi's constituency, Amethi, and Sonia Gandhi's Raebareli seat.

UP Congress chief Raj Babbar in a press conference said that the seats of Mainpuri, Kannauj, Firozabad and seats in which BSP supremo Mayawati and RLD's Jayant Chaudhary and and Ajit Singh will be not fought by Congress. Babbar also said that they will give two seats to Apna Dal.
