Union Minister of Communications and IT, Ravi Shankar Prasad has termed India's decision to ban 59 Chinese applications as a "digital strike" against China. He reportedly said this while taking part in a BJP rally on Thursday in West Bengal.

Prasad said that India's move was to protect the data of the countrymen. Speaking on the recent violent Indo-China clash at Galwan Valley in Eastern Ladakh, the Minister said that if India had to lose 20 brave soldiers, China lost double that number. Therefore, the Chinese side hasn't come up with any number regarding the number of casualties, he added.
