Article 370 | PDP MP tears Constitution

After Union Home Minister Amit Shah proposed to remove Article 370 and separate J&K into two Union Territories, People's Democratic Party (PDP) Rajya Sabha MP Mir Mohammad Fayaz tore apart a copy of the Constitution of India in protest against the abrogation of Article 370. The MP also tore his kurta in protest against the proposal.

Followingthe shocking incident, he was asked to leave the house by the Speaker. Alongwith Fayaz, another PDP MP Nazir Ahmad Laway, who protested in the Parliamentafter Home Minister's address, was also asked to go out.

On theother hand, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that BJP has murdered theConstitution. "This is not an ordinary day today. Something historical hashappened. We stand by the Constitution of India. Today, BJP has murdered theIndian Constitution," said the senior Congress leader.
