7 Held For Gangraping 4 Girls Including Minors In Tripura

Seven persons have been arrested by Tripura police on Sunday for allegedly gangraping four girls.

Out of the four girls, three of them are reportedly minors.

As per a report, all of the accused are aged between 19 and 21. They invited the girls to a neighbouring rubber garden on Saturday evening. After the girls arrived, they were forced and gangraped for hours.

The minor girls were admitted to a local hospital after the incident came to light.

The victim's families had filed a complaint against eight persons but police were able to nab seven of them till now. One person is still at large.

The arrestees were identified as Manjit Debbarma (19), Bir Kumar Debbarma (21), Ripan Debbarma (19), Bimal Debbarma (20), Sajal Debbarma (20), Chanki Debbarma (19) and Bishal Debbarma (21).

A case has been filed against the accused persons under Sections 376 (B), 120 (B), and 2 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
